Dear friends descendants of Zaglembie Jewry,
The Zaglembie World Organization (ZWO) invites you to join us on our annual tour to Poland. This tour is a special opportunity to visit the towns of our ancestors, visit the graves of the families and even meet family members that you did not know about, thanks to our genealogists.
The tour will start in Warsaw on August 25th afternoon with a tour of the city.
On August 26th we shall visit Warsaw’s Jewish sites including the impressive POLIN museum.
On August 27th drive to Krakow to visit the beautiful Jewish quarter with its synagogues and special sites.
August 28th a visit to Auschwitz Birkenau. In the evening: Kabalat Shabbat.
August 29th Old Krakow guided tour.
From August 30th to September 3rd we shall be in the towns where our families lived until the war: Bedzin, Sosnowiec, Zawiercie, Zarki, Dabrowa Zaglembiwa Gornicza. We shall honor our families by putting plaques, gathering in memorial ceremonies, meeting with municipalities and Polish friends who help us maintain the cemeteries and Jewish sites.
The price of the tour is 1,640 $, half board, not including flights.
